Not Enough Time In The Day

Whenever you have the feeling there just isn't enough time in the day, make a list and put it in order. Make time for connections. Make time for your work. Let all the petty stuff like television and email and reading fill in the leftover spaces if there are any.

Make a list of what you want to make sure you get done. Make the list the night before. Don't include anything trivial or routine like brushing your teeth. Don't include anything inevitable like eating.

Now put the list in order — either in the order of importance, or in the order you will do them (sometimes the same thing).

In the morning, instead of wasting any time on unimportant things, look at the first item on your list and do that first.

You'll be surprised at how much you can really get done in a day — without hurrying — and how much more fun it is to get the important stuff done.

Remember: When you feel there isn't enough time in the day for what's important, that is your signal. That is when it's time to make a list and put it in order.
